Wku scholarship notification date

The following scholarships are offered to both traditional and nontraditional beginning freshmen who begin attendance in the fall semester. Scholarships are awarded competitively on the basis of ACT/SAT scores, cumulative grade point average on an unweighted 4.0 scale, rank in class, curriculum, activities, and honors.

Complete applications for the scholarships listed below should be received with a postmark date no later than February 1 to be given full consideration. To meet the February 1 deadline, applicants should have qualifying test scores PRIOR to February test dates. Late scores cannot be accepted.

It is not necessary to apply for a specific award. Need is not a factor in scholarship decisions; however, receipt of a scholarship may require an adjustment in a financial aid package. Students will be awarded the largest scholarship possible.

Although the Office of Admissions cannot offer scholarships to all of the students who apply, we assure that each application will receive careful consideration and fair treatment in what is a very competitive situation. Applicants for the Alumni Leadership Scholarship should enclose with the completed application a two page, double spaced essay on your experiences and goals as a leader (see below). All scholarship applicants will be notified by April 30.
